Who we are
This website, ingeniouscrafts.com, is run by Ingenious Crafts Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13659977). Our registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
We are the controller of the personal data described here under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When you contact us
- If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message. They reach us by email.
- We use them to reply to you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps you asked for before a contract.
- We keep your message and our replies for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for our records.
Google Analytics
- If you press Accept on our cookie notice, this website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. If you press Decline, or don't answer, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all.
- Google Analytics records:
- the pages you view, and how you arrived, for example from a search engine or a link;
- your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics doesn't store;
- your device, browser, screen size and language;
- actions such as scrolling, following a link to another site, or using the contact form. It doesn't record what you type in the form.
- It sets two cookies,
_gaand_ga_5M8TKNQVYY, so it can recognise a returning browser. They last up to two years unless you delete them or decline. - Our legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time: use Cookie settings, also at the bottom of the home page, and choose Decline. The site then switches Google Analytics off and deletes its cookies.
- Google keeps the detailed records for 14 months. After that, only overall totals remain.
What your browser keeps
Your answer to our cookie notice is saved in your browser, so we don't ask again on every visit. It stays on your device.
Who else handles your data
- Our web host and Cloudflare, our network provider, process your IP address and basic technical details to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks. This is in our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
- Google provides our email, where contact form messages arrive, and Google Analytics. For Google Analytics, Google processes the data for us under its Data Processing Terms. We have switched off the options that let Google use it for its own products or for advertising.
These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, it is protected as UK law requires, for example through UK adequacy regulations or the safeguards in their terms.
We don't sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- get a copy of your personal data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how we use your data, or object to it;
- receive the data you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent to Google Analytics at any time.
To use any of these rights, send us a message through the contact form, or write to Ingenious Crafts Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
